El Perrisito Perris Union High School Yearbook Collection

Summary of the Collection:   This collection consists of yearbooks from Perris Union High School, from 1917 to 2011.  The collection was assembled by the Perris Valley Historical and Museum Association from various donors, including Miss Hazel Day, a teacher at Perris Union High School, and Miss Betty Jay, a librarian.  The collection is in the process of being digitized, optimized and populated to this website by the staff of the Perris Valley Museum Historical Archives, a process being made possible in part by a generous 2011 Irene S. Rockwell Grant from the Community Foundation Serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

The Perris Valley Historic Pamphlet Collection

Summary of the Collection:   The pamphlets in this collection capture, through different topical categories, brief “looks” into the history of the city of Perris and its surrounding valley.  The pamphlets are both original (also called primary sources by academic researchers) and interpreted (also called secondary sources by academic researchers),  but they all provide rare, one-of-a-kind glimpses into how the Perris Valley was depicted in earlier times.  All pamphlets that have been digitized rest either in public domain or their copyright is held by the Perris Valley Museum Historical Archives, or its parent organization.  This information on copyright will be clearly noted on the digitized object for ease of use purposes.
